Casey Tysinger

This will be Casey Tysinger's eleventh year of teaching dance and her seventh year of teaching at DSPA. She started taking dance classes at age 9 under the instruction of Mallory Graham in this same studio. Her training includes Ballet, Jazz, Pointe, Hip Hop, Modern/Contemporary with a focus in Tap.

A graduate of T.W. Andrews High School, she received an Associate in Arts from GTCC. She has studied dance at UNCG, attended dance conventions, and judged mock dance competitions. She has performed in the Green Street Baptist Church Christmas Pageant, Day in the Park, The Nutcracker, High Point Holiday Parade, Pink Heals Parade, and Wake Forest Basketball and Football Halftime Shows.

Casey volunteers at Oak View Baptist Church helping with Vacation Bible School and community outreach.

Why does Mrs. Casey teach dance? She says, “Dance is an art form, a way to express yourself, a challenge, and much more. Being a dancer takes great dedication and my goal is to teach that to my students. It is amazing to see a child grow each year as a dancer. Dance is a great form of exercise for young people and it is a full body workout that leads to increased energy, better strength, and better health. It is a lot of fun, too!”
